I still remember the pictures of my grandmothers house in Cape May in 1962. That house was blocks from the ocean, but the ocean water surge went up to the second floor of her house. The Northeast is rarely hit by such huge storms, but when it is, they are very dangerous, as in 1938. So act sensibly if you live in the surge area. Flee to higher ground for a few days. Have fun.
