The Story of the Navy SEAL Eddie Gallagher
Eddie's story is important because what happened to him in at the hands of a rogue government intelligence agents and their bosses is now being directed at all Americans.
He lists, describes and analyzes all the bad actors (NCIS, Naval Surface Warfare Command, legacy corporate media like National Public Radio and the New York Times, journalists, etc.) who went after him with lies to ruin his life, the life of his family, and as a warning to the war fighting community.
I first heard Eddie Gallagher tell his story on the Sean Ryan show on December 20, 2020. I highly recommend you listen to this interview. It offers great background, especially about the reality of war as Eddie Gallagher and tens of thousands of American warriors have experienced it. The interview is 5 1/2 hours long and well worth listening to.
To help other military service members and first responders who are unjustly accused as he was, he set up the Pipe Hitter Foundation. As described on their home page: "Justice for all. For example, in the interview and the book he speaks of a village in Iraq he entered to find children's heads on pikes as a warning to what they would do to captured American soldiers. These are the real combat stresses to which he was subject while fighting for the American people.
His reward was to be falsely accused by young SEAL's who were basically cowards and ingrates.

There are 68 chapters in Man in the Arena, and Eddie's approach is highly creative.
Rather than writing an autobiography, he shares the chapters text, commentary, observation, analysis, and lessons with his wife, brother, children, fellow SEAL's and Marines who knew and served with him, lawyers, and others.

Eddie Gallagher and The Magics
One more quality Eddie Gallagher has is The Magics.
Among the Irish, someone with The Magics has an extraordinary talent. Obviously, Eddie is an extraordinary warrior.
His underlings recognized that he had The Magics, and sought to destroy him for it. It was that very quality that caused the jealousy among his subordinate SEAL's that almost cost him life in prison. It is a story as old as the Bible.
When I refer to The Magics, I use it in the Irish sense of have a God-given talent, divine actually, to play music, write poetry, play athletics...whatever it is, that is above and beyond most mortals.
There are multiple instances in this tale where he exhibits The Magics and they offer great lessons for how to fight Big Brother both passively (submitting when necessary) and actively (fighting against the odds over and over to victory).
Part of the Magics is the deep love Irish Catholics have for each other due to their survival skills created during their 800 years of being enslaved by The Invader. That love is evident in this book between Eddie and Andrea, Eddie's parents, and his brother Sean.
My compliments on his having The Magics.
For example, Eddie was a sniper, a breecher and a medic. He went on multiple deployments to the worst fighting, earned multiple awards for valor, earned Sailor of the Year for Group 1 on the West Coast, rated the Number One Platoon Chief, took the worst-rated platoon and turned it into the highest-rated platoon in Team 7, AND he survived solitary and the full weight of our intel community trying to take him out.

I grew up in West Oak Lane, Philadelphia in a Jewish neighborhood where some of my neighbors were Holocaust survivors, so I knew about that event from childhood.
Later, while I attended the American College in Paris in 1975, I wrote a paper on the reasoning strategy and techniques of Joseph Goebbels, the mastermind of the Nazi Propaganda Ministry. To do so, I visited Nanterre University outside Paris every Saturday to view original Nazi war documents such as newspapers, posters, papers and movies.
Eventually, I wrote a Holocaust remembrance poem called This Broken Silence that was published in 1998 called Beyond Lament: Poets of the World Bearing Witness to the Holocaust. Most of the poets in the collection were Holocaust survivors or the children of survivors. I was one of the few non-Jews included in the work.
All my life, I have studied Nazi's. I know who and what they are and how they operate. I say all this because what Eddie Gallagher faced then, and what you face now, was Nazi's going after him and now Nazi's going after you...pretending that you are them.

Backstory
The way Eddie was set up, arrested, denied counsel, prosecuted, put into solitary confinement, denied his Constitutional right to being assumed innocent until proven guilty, harassed, spied upon, had his family home assaulted and his children held at gun point, and all the intel agency personnel dedicated to a war against him, are tactics now being used on the so-called "insurrectionists" of January 6th, 2021 at the U.S. Capital.
