Social Media for when Disaster Strikes

I wrote this article for the Journal of Civil Defense of the American Civil Defense Association (www.tacda.org).
I republish it here as I believe it can help in this current event.
Given the current Communist Chinese Party virus crisis, I re-post it here to help other Americans.
In the photo, you see Ron Asmus (l), Stuart Barrowcliffe (m) and Bruce Curley (me holding a gold solar airplane. I worked at the Solar Energy Research Institute in 1983.
I  was young and impressionable. I did not know then how the Left would use solar as a tool to control and manipulate Americans.)
I went to this party as everyone else. Thus the mirror. If we look at ourselves closely, we can come out of this better than we went in.
God Bless Donald Trump and his family for all they have given and given and given to accomplish this miracle. Things did not go as well in 1918.

Social Media Can Reconnect Families when Disaster Strikes

Summary: This is an article on how to use social media to reconnect and communicate when disaster strikes.

Introduction

Is there a worse feeling than being in an emergency and not being able to contact your loved ones?
Consider that feeling in your gut as you try to instant message or call your children to know if they are okay, or to notify them that you are okay.
As minutes pass and you cannot reach them, ideas that you would have never entertained just moments before start to enter your subconscious and rise to your conscious mind.
Be aware that in a catastrophic disaster, such as an F5 tornado, every necessity and comfort you normally enjoy is gone. No food. No water. No electricity. No shelter. No transportation. With power down, you cannot even use your cell phone to find out if your family or friends are safe or to notify them that you are safe.
The new reality is that everything you took for granted just hours before no longer exists. And it is anyone’s guess as to when everything will return to normal.
I know because I have been there.
The purpose of this article is to offer you strategies and tools to avoid being in that situation and to cope with it if it does happen to you and your loved ones.
During and after a disaster people reach out to friends and family to find help securing food, water, shelter, medical care and transportation.  Social media tools enable people to share this information immediately and effectively.
Social media is now vital to recovery efforts after disasters, when infrastructure must be rebuilt and stress management is critical. The extensive reach of social networks allows people who are recovering from disasters to rapidly connect with needed resources. This enables survivors to connect, talk, and share recovery resources.
Especially in large-scale disasters, when thousands are displaced from their homes and many have fled the disaster zone, people use social media to contact family and friends, post photos, share stories, and give and get help.
Social media, through the internet, search engines, apps, instant messaging, social networking and photo shariing websites, provide readily availble and efficient ways for family members to keep in touch and impart critical disaster related information.
NOTE: All cell phones, apps, networks, servers, computers, tablets, etc. depend on ELECTRICTY. Natural disaster often disrupt the supply of electricty and therefore the ability to use this technology. So, purchase external portable battery charging devices NOW. Include a solar version so you can use the sun to recharge them if power is out. Car battery jump starter devices now include three USB ports to charge phones, tablets and computers.
Example: NEW Stanley J5c09 Jumpit Jump Starter.
Remember you only need one communication app (your phone instant message app) and one essential search engine (StartPage for example) and one backup. Master it. In the stress of a disaster, it is best to stick to the basic apps you know and use.
Let’s examine a brief history of this technology and capability.

Historical evidence of social media successfully reuniting families after a disaster

For all that is wrong with social media, the flip side is that it can be a life-saver and a comfort when you can use it to stay in touch with family members during and after contacting family members after a disaster.
We can examine two examples of when this has been proven historically.
One of the first times I became aware of social media reconnecting families was after an E5 tornado struck  Joplin, Missouri on May 11, 2011. (For a complete discussion of this event, see https://poetslife.blogspot.com/2012/05/social-media-lessons-from-joplin.html
Posting on Facebook in the Newsfeed or by Messenger and Twitter using tweets or Direct Message family members were able to contact each other and state their status.
Hundreds of messages like this, “lookin for scott morris, chris miller, stormy miller, and chris elseworth. anyone that knows them from my Joplin friends needs to help me find them“ were posted by families and friends looking for loved ones.
Whereas in the past we relied on the authorities to update us on survivors, now we can conduct those tasks using social medeia. It is particularly good at rapidly sending such pleas for help and locating familyl and friends via a wide audience.
And yes, pets are also part of families and can be reunited with their families, as here: Photos of found pets from the tornado: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?

How to Connect Your Family Using Social Media

Each family is unique and so is their social media use. For disaster response and management, what is most important is not the social media platform your family chooses, but that they know how to use it when they need to use it.
Always include a few contacts who are out of your area or state. In a disaster environment, your local lines my be jammed or not working, but you can often reach someone out of your area. Also, due to the strenght of how they are built, cell towers for 911 will often work when all other lines do not.
Instant messaging (Facebook Messenger, Google Hangouts, the one included with your cell phone) can all use cell phones is particulary useful for immediate responses during and immediately after a disaster. Skype enables a group chat.
At first LinkedIn may not appear to be that useful, but it is for unique needs. For example, in many disasters mobility is at a stand still until trees, debris and objects are removed from the roadway. How does that? Skilled construction workers and tree removal experts. Where do you find them when you need them?
Yes, you can use search engines, but LinkedIn may be the better choice to find one who is not overwhelmed, busy, or not the right one for you. LinkedIn will provide details on such critical service contacts.
When my house burned down, we had great difficulty finding a builder to do the job. And we were only one job. After a disaster, it is often hard to find contractors as they have already committed to other jobs. So using another nontraditional search engine such as LinkedIn can help identify and hire skilled professionals to assist you.

Best Social Media Platforms for Disaster Communications

Probably the best social media and apps for you to use during and after a disaster are the ones you currently use with your family. You know them well, and in the heightened stress of a disaster you do not need another thing to worry about.
Apps: You may want to reseach other Apps that are out there that may be better for your need. The best way is to enter a search term,  „Emergency apps, preparedness, disasters“ in a Google Play or the App Store. You can then identify, dowload and test apps that may be best suited to you.
Browsers: Download and use less lused browsers like Brave and Firefox. Like most people, you use Google, Bing, or Chrome but there are numerous social media platforms you can use for disaster communications. By downloading and using multiple social media platforms, you ensure you have more choices available during and after a disaster.
Search Engines: DuckDuckGo, DogPile, Gibiru, Search Encrypt, StartPage and other less known search engines do not invade your privacy as much as Google and Bing. They do not keeps logs, sell data, track you with cookies, and do notbring up similar ads to what you search to buy. (No logs, no data selling, no tracking cookies0
Social Media Search Engines: Remember that social media platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn are also search engines. They can be used to identify people, products and services just like traditional search engines. Since Captain Scully landed his plane on the Hudson River and it was on Twitter an hour before the New York Media, Twitter has provided real-time information on disasters. Be cautious with reawl time inrormaton, however, as it can be wrong.
Blogs: Many blogs have excellent tips, procedures, and advice that is useful during and after a disaster. Blogspot, Wordpress are just two. Do not overlook coroporate (https://blog.constellation.com/disaster-preparedness/) or government blogs
(https://www.usda.gov/media/blog/2018/04/10/when-disasters-hit-help-close-your-usda-service-center). And as weather impacts EVERYTHING, follow meteorologist Mike Smith’s science-based weather blog: http://www.mikesmithenterprisesblog.com/.
Podcasts: You can listen to podcosts while driving your car or doing yard work. Use Stitcher (https://www.stitcher.com/) or Spotify (https://open.spotify.com/) to find disaster podcasts. Here are a few useful natural disaster podcasts: https://civildefenseradio.com/category/podcast/episode/, https://player.fm/series/natural-disasters-2538998, https://player.fm/series/disaster-podcast

Securing Social Media to Maintain Privacy

Be aware that hackers and other criminals are always probing your social media devices (cell phones, computers, tablets, etc.) to corrupt, steal and sell your data. You must also have a multi-layered strategy to protect your data and privacy.
The most important step is to set your settings under privacy to just your family and friends. Do not open up your data to the whole worls by setting it to everyone.

Disaster Strikes - Implementing Your Social Media Connections

The key to implementing your social media connections when a disaster strikes is to create, test, and use them BEFORE a disaster strikes.
That sounds more simple than it is.
In this day of remarkable cell phones when you download an app for every need, the ability to use both your cell phone and it’s apps when disaster strikes is assumed.
But everything changes in a disaster environment.
I know this because I have been through disasters. And no disaster is worse than one that hits you and your family.
I have known the humiliation of standing in front of my now burned down house as my burned wife was medivaced out on a medical helicopter. I only realized that I was doing so in my underwear when a neighbor said, Do you want a pair of my pants.“
When I asked why he replied, Look down.“
Only then did I realize I didn’t even have a pair of pants on after I fled our house fire after I got my wife and sons out. (For more information see https://tacda.org/journal/journal-of-civil-defense-2014-vol-47-no-2-treating-infection-without-a-doctor/)
Don’t be like me standing there with no clothes on wondering if you wife will recover and where your kids will eat and sleep next. Take the simple and easy measures now to ensure that such a fate is not in your future. Here are a few steps that may help.

Simple and Easy Measures to Take

First, do you have electric power? Do you have sufficient power to transmit your message, data, photos and other communication? Every device you have will power down quickly when not recharged. Therefore, you must have the ability to change your devices off the usual grid.
The following warning from a Joplin tornado survivor applies to the aftermath of all disasters.“After recently going through this, please be careful where you donate money. Unfortunately, there are many who are not honest and will take advantage of this tragedy.“
Grifters, criminals, and quick buck artists know that social media donation solicitations are unregulated. Vet and be certain of anyone or organization that is arasing money after any disaster.
In contrast, multiple legitimate organizations will solicit over social media to raise relief funds and to organize volunteers. Here is one such example from Joplin. “You can sign up as a volunteer on www.211missoure.org (United Way).”
Avoid the grifters and support the honest recovery caregivers on social media.

Accessing Social Media Sites During Disaster when no Cell phones Work

Ideally, you always have an Internet connection. Unfortunately, that is not the reality in during of after a disaster.
There are other places where you can get a connection when you don’t have a connection at home. There are many locations where you can access an Internet connection, especially now that so much of that connection has shifted to cell phones and tablets.
Basically, wherever you can access a WiFi connection you can access social media. Here are a few places where you can access the Internet via a WiFi connection:
·         Your car
·         Coffee Shop
·         Library
·         Church
·         Work
·         Gyms
·         Stores
·         Shopping Centers
·         Community Centers
·         Government Buildings
To access social media websites, out of area contacts are critical. When family members are unable to contact each other who are geographically close to each other but the power is down are oftentimes able to contact relatives far away. These relatives, because they have power, can oftentimes contact other family members even when family members who are nearby cannot.

Conclusion

Most people by now are familiar with how to use social media.
However, they do not understand how dramatically social media access and use can change during and after a disaster. As with any area in life, forewarned is forearmed.
In a disaster, everything changes. Events unfold at a pace you cannot imagine. Hyperstress hits and decisions that were easy a few minutes ago are very difficult to make.
Where just an hour ago you knew what to do, now you may not have any of the information you need to help you decide what to do..
Social media has made our world easier but it creates it’s own set of issues. For example, in any disaster, rumors run rampant. And yet you have to act based on little or no data or facts and you may only have rumors.
To help prepare to handle the disruptions disasters cause, take care to have your social media platforms, apps, and devices in place, up to date (latest patches, software, operating system), tested and ready. The suggestions above are at least a start.
Social media awareness may save your dignity, your life, your possessions and of your loved ones during and after a disaster.
Start now to make that possible.

As all the disinformation and misinformation propagated by CCPCDCCNNABCCBSWAWHINTOPOSTNYTIMESETC has so terrified American's that many are still wearing the useless masks, it is important to repost the usefulness of hydrogen peroxide and goat milk soap to actually destroy the Chinese flu, and other flu's, before they can infect your body host.
Please see below.

Use goat milk soap and hydrogen peroxide to defeat the coronavirus.
My "how goat milk soap melts coronavirus analysis" may be found on Periscopetv here
Why goat milk soap destroys coronavirus I described here.

The best place to get goat milk soap is Goat Milk Stuff. It is a great alternative to the skin cracking 70% alcohol based "sanitizers."

You have seen everyone in China using bleach to disinfect, but that is not always safe or effective. It’s kind of like the surgical safety masks they are all wearing. They are better than nothing, of course, but they are not 100% effective.
Instead, purchase and store bottles of hydrogen peroxide. It is a safe, inexpensive and effective disinfectant and antiseptic. And it has multiple prevention uses.
The great advantage of iodine antiseptics is their wide scope of antimicrobial activity, killing all principal pathogens and, given enough time, even spores, which are considered to be the most difficult form of microorganisms to be inactivated by disinfectants and antiseptics.
I learned the wonder of hydrogen peroxide working on an anthrax project in 2002 to clean out anthrax spores in post offices where they had been released. A British company charged our government an enormous amount of money for a secret cleaning formula that was mostly, yes, hydrogen peroxide.
Hydrogen peroxide has so many uses to fight this pandemic. For example, when you return from the grocery store with fruits and vegetables that someone who is infected has been near and breathed on, wash them in hydrogen peroxide when you get home to mitigate the risk of that microbe getting into your system.
Also, be sure to clean your shopping bags with which you brought home the fruit and vegetables.
Hydrogen peroxide has so many uses in preventing coronavirus. Below are a few from 50+ nifty uses for hydrogen peroxide for your home, garden, and body
  • “Hydrogen peroxide can work wonders on soothing a sore throat. There are a couple ways you can do it. You can either gargle a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and warm, boiled water, or you can dip a depression stick in 3% peroxide and coat your tonsils.
  • We all know (unfortunately) that there is no cure for the common cold. However, the symptoms can be managed and shortened with the use of hydrogen peroxide. Create a mixture of hydrogen peroxide, salt, and baking soda then rub inside nasal passages – it will help draw out any infections and kill bacteria.
  • As trips to the grocery store may be restricted as in China, you will need to keep your fruits and vegetables fresh longer. Did you know hydrogen peroxide can help extend the life of your fruits and vegetables? Fill your kitchen sink with water and add a quarter cup of food grade hydrogen peroxide. Soak your produce for 20 minutes, then rinse and dry. You’ll be amazed how much longer it stays fresh.
  • Makeup brushes can become a breeding ground for bacteria – thankfully, they’re very easy to clean. Mix 3% hydrogen peroxide with water and soak your brushes for approximately 5 minutes. Rinse the brushes with water then let them dry. Do this once a week for clean, bacteria-free brushes.”
Cleaning with bleach is effective, but not really safe. Hydrogen peroxide is just as effective, but safe. Think of it this way. Would you rather clean your children’s toys in a solution of bleach or hydrogen peroxide?
So, with a good barrier such as the Biological Personal Protection Kit and hydrogen peroxide, you are better prepared.

Why Hand Washing Prevents Coronavirus from Spreading

Palli Thordarson, a chemistry professor at the University of New South Wales, explains why soap is so effective against the Wuhan Coronavirus. Source

Please read his entire thread below.

Here is his Twitter feed from which I abstracted his knowledge.

We are told every day to wash our hands to prevent the spread of the Wuhan Coronavirus or any flu. We are never told why. Here is why.

My deep gratitude to Professor Thordarson for explaining why we need to wash our hands religiously to get past this current pandemic flu.

The Spanish Flu lasted 13 weeks in 1918. We'll see how long this one lasts.

1/25 Part 1 - Why does soap work so well on the SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus and indeed most viruses? Because it is a self-assembled nanoparticle in which the weakest link is the lipid (fatty) bilayer. A two part thread about soap, viruses and supramolecular chemistry #COVID19

2/25 The soap dissolves the fat membrane and the virus falls apart like a house of cards and "dies", or rather, we should say it becomes inactive as viruses aren’t really alive. Viruses can be active outside the body for hours, even days.

3/25 Disinfectants, or liquids, wipes, gels and creams containing alcohol (and soap) have a similar effects but are not really quite as good as normal soap. Apart from the alcohol and soap, the “antibacterial agents” in these products don't affect the virus structure much at all.

4/25 Consequently, many antibacterial products are basically just an expensive version of soap in terms of how they act on viruses. Soap is the best but alcohol wipes are good when soap is not practical or handy (e.g. office receptions).

5/25 But why exactly is soap so good? To explain that, I will take you through a bit of a journey through supramolecular #chemistry, nanoscience and virology. I try to explain this in generic terms as much as possible, which means leaving some specialist chemistry terms out.

6/25 I point out to that while I am expert in supramolecular chemistry and the assembly of nanoparticles, I am not a virologists. The image with the first tweet is from an excellent post here which is dense with good virology info:

SARS-CoV-2 and the lessons we have to learn from it.At this moment the media is covering SARS-CoV-2 ...

7/25 I have always been fascinated by viruses as I see them as one of them most spectacular examples of how supramolecular chemistry and nanoscience can converge. Most viruses consist of three key building blocks: RNA, proteins and lipids.

8/25 The RNA is the viral genetic material -it is very similar to DNA. The proteins have several roles including breaking into the target cell, assist with virus replication and basically to be a key building block (like a brick in a house) in the whole virus structure.

9/25 The lipids then form a coat around the virus, both for protection and to assist with its spread and cellular invasion. The RNA, proteins and lipids self-assemble to form the virus. Critically, there are no strong “covalent” bonds holding these units together.

10/25 Instead the viral self-assembly is based on weak “non-covalent” interactions between the proteins, RNA and lipids. Together these act together like a Velcro so it is very hard to break up the self-assembled viral particle. Still, we can do it (e.g. with soap!).

11/25 Most viruses, including the coronavirus, are between 50-200 nanometers – so they are truly nanoparticles. Nanoparticles have complex interactions with surfaces they are on. Same with viruses. Skin, steel, timber, fabric, paint and porcelain are very different surfaces.

12/25 When a virus invades a cell, the RNA “hijacks” the cellular machinery like a computer virus (!) and forces the cell to start to makes a lot of fresh copies of its own RNA and the various proteins that make up the virus.

13/25 These new RNA and protein molecules, self-assemble with lipids (usually readily present in the cell) to form new copies of the virus. That is, the virus does not photocopy itself, it makes copies of the building blocks which then self-assemble into new viruses!

14/25 All those new viruses eventually overwhelm the cell and it dies/explodes releasing viruses which then go on to infect more cells. In the lungs, some of these viruses end up in the airways and the mucous membranes surrounding these.

15/25 When you cough, or especially when you sneeze, tiny droplets from the airways can fly up to 10 meters (30 ft)! The larger ones are thought to be main coronavirus carriers and they can go at least 2 m (7 ft). Thus – cover your coughs & sneezes people!

16/25 These tiny droplets end on surfaces and often dry out quickly. But the viruses are still active! What happens next is all about supramolecular chemistry and how self-assembled nanoparticles (like the viruses) interact with their environment!

17/25 Now it is time to introduce a powerful supramolecular chemistry concept that effectively says: similar molecules appear to interact more strongly with each other than dissimilar ones. Wood, fabric and not to mention skin interact fairly strongly with viruses.

18/25 Contrast this with steel, porcelain and at least some plastics, e.g. teflon. The surface structure also matter – the flatter the surface the less the virus will “stick” to the surface. Rougher surfaces can actually pull the virus apart.

19/25 So why are surfaces different? The virus is held together by a combination of hydrogen bonds (like those in water) and what we call hydrophilic or “fat-like” interactions. The surface of fibres or wood for instance can form a lot of hydrogen bonds with the virus.

20/25 In contrast steel, porcelain or teflon do not form a lot of hydrogen bond with the virus. So the virus is not strongly bound to these surfaces. The virus is quite stable on these surface whereas it doesn’t stay active for as long on say fabric or wood.

21/25 For how long does the virus stay active? It depends. The SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus is thought to stay active on favourable surfaces for hours, possibly a day. Moisture (“dissolves”), sun light (UV light) and heat (molecular motions) all make the virus less stable.

22/25 The skin is an ideal surface for a virus! It is “organic” and the proteins and fatty acids in the dead cells on the surface interact with the virus through both hydrogen bonds and the “fat-like” hydrophilic interactions.

23/25 So when you touch say a steel surface with a virus particle on it, it will stick to your skin and hence get transferred onto your hands. But you are not (yet) infected. If you touch your face though, the virus can get transferred from your hands and on to your face.

24/25 And now the virus is dangerously close to the airways and the mucus type membranes in and around your mouth and eyes. So the virus can get in…and voila! You are infected (that is, unless your immune system kills the virus).

25/25 If the virus is on your hands you can pass it on by shaking someone’s else hand. Kisses, well, that's pretty obvious…It comes without saying that if someone sneezes right in your face you are kind of stuffed. Part 2 about soap coming next (25 post limit reached)!

26/39 Part 2 about soap, supramolecular chemistry and viruses. So how often do you touch your face? It turns out most people touch the face once every 2-5 minutes! Yeah, so you at high risk once the virus gets on your hands unless you can wash the active virus off.

27/39 So let’s try washing it off with plain water. It might just work. But water “only” competes with the strong “glue-like” interactions between the skin and virus via hydrogen bonds. They virus is quite sticky and may not budge. Water isn’t enough.

28/39 Soapy water is totally different. Soap contains fat-like substances knowns as amphiphiles, some structurally very similar to the lipids in the virus membrane. The soap molecules “compete” with the lipids in the virus membrane.

29/39 The soap molecules also compete with a lot other non-covalent bonds that help the proteins, RNA and the lipids to stick together. The soap is effectively “dissolving” the glue that holds the virus together. Add to that all the water.

30/39 The soap also outcompetes the interactions between the virus and the skin surface. Soon the viruses get detached and fall a part like a house of cards due to the combined action of the soap and water. The virus is gone!

31/39 The skin is quite rough and wrinkly which is why you do need a fair amount of rubbing and soaking to ensure the soap reaches very crook and nanny on the skin surface that could be hiding active viruses.

32/39 Alcohol based products, which pretty includes all “disinfectants” and “antibacterial” products contain a high-% alcohol solution, typically 60-80% ethanol, sometimes with a bit of isopropanol as well and then water + a bit of a soap.

33/39 Ethanol and other alcohols do not only readily form hydrogen bonds with the virus material but as a solvent, are more lipophilic than water. Hence alcohol do also dissolve the lipid membrane and disrupt other supramolecular interactions in the virus.

34/39 However, you need a fairly high concentration (maybe +60%) of the alcohol to get a rapid dissolution of the virus. Vodka or whiskey (usually 40% ethanol), will not dissolve the virus as quickly. Overall alcohol is not quite as good as soap at this task.

35/39 Nearly all antibacterial products contain alcohol and some soap and this does help killing viruses. But some also include “active” bacterial killing agents, like triclosan. Those, however, do basically nothing to the virus!

36/39 To sum up, viruses are almost like little grease-nanoparticles. They can stay active for many hours on surfaces and then get picked up by touch. They then get to our face and infect us because most of us touch the face quite frequently.

37/39 Water is not very effective alone in washing the virus off our hands. Alcohol based product work better. But nothing beats soap – the virus detaches from the skin and falls apart very readily in soapy water.

38/39 Here you have it – supramolecular chemistry and nanoscience tell us not only a lot about how the virus self-assembled into a functional active menace, but also how we can beat viruses with something as simple as soap.

39/39 Thank you for reading my first thread. Apologies for any mistakes in the above. I might have some virology details wrong here as I am not a virologist unlike @MackayIM who I am a big fan of! But I hope this inspires you not only to use soap but to read up on chemistry!

1/9 It looks like my "soap" tweet has been quoted all over the place. Wonderful! I do though take a slight issue with the tone in some of these when it comes to soap vs hand sanitiser. Just because I said, soap is better, doesn't mean sanitiser are not good-they are very good!

2/9 Let's recap: Soap dissolves the virus by breaking up the interactions that hold it together. The alcohol in sanitisers and wipes does pretty much the same: "Hence alcohol does also dissolve the lipid membrane and disrupts other supramolecular interactions in the virus"

3/9 There is a subtle point here that I didn't explain. Alcohol is a solvent. It is different from water or say petrol. Now, non-covalent interactions are very solvent dependent. The "hydrophobic" interactions that hold the virus together are strongest in water (water = hydro).

1/18 A soap is a soap is a soap! I am still flabbergasted by your response to my Twitter thread about the #COVID19 Coronavirus, soap and supramolecular chemistry! I have been quite busy today but I in this thread I will try to provide answers to some of your questions:

2/18 A lot of the questions are basically about which soap is best? Some people ask if detergents are better/worse than soap? Let me start with the latter one. Basically, what people call a detergent and what is a soap seems to differ! To me as a chemists they are very similar.

3/18 The Wikipedia entry on detergents seems to delineate detergents from soap mainly by calling alkylbenzenesulfonates & similar chemicals detergents, whereas fatty acid salts are soaps. You find detergents mainly in things like laundry detergents. See en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Detergent

Poetic Positives of the Pandemic to Defeat the CCP

The CCP, in addition to their hundreds of cyber attacks and influence operations bribing Western academics, businessmen, Hollywood, Wall Street, politicians, and others...was going to go kinetic recently. They had planned a 3-pronged attack. The CCP had Laos and Cambodia lined up to attack Vietnam. They planned to unleash North Korea on South Korea.  And with that chaos established, they planned to attack Taiwan.
Fortunately, we got the 7th fleet to the South China sea fast enough that the CCP backed off.
The biggest mistake the CCP makes in its war analysis and plans is that the private sector (see, for example, https://www.anduril.com/) runs the United States, not the politicians in their employ.
Tojo made that mistake in 1941.
He learned the truth of that statement by 1945.

Xi issued an order that the CCP must warehouse food to prevent starvation among the Chinese people.
He knows, as any Chinese dictator must, that he will be toppled if enough Chinese people starve.
This has been true for 10,000 years of Chinese history. The only way that starvation did not begin recently was that the United States of America was kind enough to send the food stuffs to the CCP.
But we can turn that supply line off at any time.
The CCP has the technology, strategies, plans, military hardware, software, date centers, organizations, cultural and political warfare capabilities, etc...
But we have the food.
Trust me, we have the food.
We have the most productive farmland in the world, as your spies in America no doubt have informed you.
We have the food and we will use it as a weapon if we have to.
You have the rare earth elements.
Granted.
But rare earth elements do not feed a hungry CCP members belly.
Remember that Xi.

Civil Defense is critical for a successful generational fight against the CCP. For a good podcast and brief on the history of civil defense in the United States and especially children, listen to Civil Defense Radio here.

Our Grandchildren's American Future

My grandchildren will grow up in an America that is better than the one my ancestors and parents left me.
About 320 million out of 360 Americans believe that American truth.
It is time we let the 40 million Americans who just kowtowed to the Communist Chinese Party know that we will not submit as they have to the rule of the CCP.

My MIA Uncle 1st Lieutenant Frank J. Curley did not sacrifice his young 21 year-old life in a B-24 fireball to a Pacific Ocean grave off HaHa Jima to defeat the Imperial Japanese military, nor did millions of other patriotic Americans die or suffer mental and physical scars from wars to protect my freedoms just to now kowtow to the CCP.
American warriors know the sacrifices in blood and lives given to create the American Republic.
They are willing to make the same sacrifice to make sure we continue as a free people who determine our own future without foreign interference.

How We Defeat the CCP

The CCP needs to know we grow the food and we will use it as a weapon to preserve our God-given inalienable right to all the freedoms written in the words of our Constitution and Bill of Rights by our Founding Fathers.
As the CCP members are not Christians, they have no idea how resolute, courageous, creative, innovative, strong and fierce Christians can be when attacked.
For reference, I suggest they research Brian Boro and Richard the Lion Heart.
I know the CCP thinks it just took over the United States of America because they stole the 2020 American Presidential Election and attacked us with the Covid-19 biological weapon.
But they are as foolish as the Imperial Japanese when they attacked Pearl Harbor.
And the CCP "victory" will be as pyric.
The American public is waking up to what was just done: a minority globally with their allies in the United States more interested in wealth than obeying God just sold out their birthright for a few pieces of silver.
Like Judas, it will not end well for them.

Prayer to St. Joseph to Help us Work Hard to Defeat the CCP

But first, in obedience to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, I offer this ancient Christian prayer for the repose of the Souls who were killed by the Communist Chinese Party (CCP) in their Covid-19 biological weapon attack on the entire world.
"Oh Gentlest Heart of Jesus, ever resent in the Blessed Sacrament, ever consumed with burning love for the poor captive souls in purgatory, have mercy on the souls in purgatory, have mercy on the sols of they departed servants.
Be not severe in Thy Judgment but let some drops of Thy Precious Blood fall upon the devouring flames and do thou O merciful Savior send They angels to conduct They departed servant to a place of refreshment, light and Peace. Amen.
May the souls of all the faithful departed through he mercy of God, rest in Peace. Amen."
Now.
I am under no illusion as to how hard it will be to fight the current victories of the CCP and their American and worldwide globalist allies.
But as after the 1941 Imperial Japanese sneak attack on Pearl Harbor, this sneak CCP Covid-19 attack will eventually be defeated. But it will take hard, hard work on the part of the American people.
The CCP and globalists have made the mistaken calculation that Americans are fat, dumb, lazy and easily distracted with drugs, pornography, material comforts, cheap goods, and therefore can easily be taken down.
And they are right that this is the condition of many Americans.
But it is not the majority.
And the majority will fight back and win.

Again, to begin, let we who are fighting say a prayer to the Father of Christ, Saint Joseph.
"Glorious St. Joseph, patron of all who are devoted to toil, obtain for me the grace to toil in the spirit of penance, in order thereby to atone for my many sins; to toil conscientiously, putting devotion to duty before my own inclinations; to labor with thankfulness and joy, deeming it an honor to employ and to develop by my labor the gifts I have received from Almighty God; to work with order, peace, moderation, and patience, without ever shrinking from weakness and difficulties; to work above all with a pure intention and with detachment from self, having always before my eyes the hour of death and the accounting which I must then render of time ill sent, of talents unemployed, of good undone and of my empty ride in success, which is so fatal t the work of God.
All for Jesus, all through Mary, all in imitation of Thee, O Patriarch Joseph! This shall be my motto in life and in death.
Amen."

How the US will Defeat the CCP

Despite the current high tech obsession, real wealth is created two ways: via farming and mining.
The United States of America has far more farms, quarries and mines than the CCP...and they are more productive due to American productivity, creativity and grit.
The CCP long-range plan has the United States, Canada and Australia feeding their massive population.
They think they have this supply chain lined up due to their bribes to American politicians, academics, businesses, athletes, entertainers, media, and Hollywood moguls.
But they are mistaken.
Like millions of other Americans during the pandemic, I have moved from the corrupt CCPDNCCNN cities, suburb's and exurbs to a rural area.
The pandemic proved that we no longer need to live in those areas to live well, that a much higher quality of life could be enjoyed in rural America.
And there is a huge geographic rural area in America to be developed and to create a new American civilization.
It is happening everyday. A parallel American civilization is rising.
Where I live, I see hundreds of trucks from a nearby quarry drive by daily delivering the material that is building the new America.
As well, I see unbelievably productive, hard working, Christian farmers growing the nutritious food that feeds not just Americans but the world, including the Chinese people.
We can sell that food to the Chinese, but we do not have to.
It is our choice.
As the CCP has already shown that it will remove live organs from political prisoners, unleash a bioweapon on the people of the world, and will stop at nothing including bribing American politicians, academics, media, athletes, and businessmen to conquer the world, we know their game plan.
Yes, the own the Panama Canal and the majority of big shipping ports in the world.
Yes, they have an impressive manufacturing base, financial system, et.
But they are built on corruption and brides.
And we will defeat them.

How the Positives of the Pandemic will help us Defeat the CCP's Plans

In manmade and natural disasters, things become crystal clear.
When your very survival is in question, you tend to focus.
The Red Chinese flu did that for Americans.
The massive outmigration from the cities to the rural areas is not just due to the chaos, celebration of deviants, crime, high taxes and CCP-created decline of American cities, although that is a factor.
It is also due to the fact that those who have served this nation want their families to be safe.
So they are taking measures NOW to assure that safety.
They read truthful sources on China, like
and so many others, and do not follow the lies of the legacy corporate media that are controlled by the CCP.
Xi is lording over an empire that is about to fall apart as ALL commie dictatorships fall apart.
Just ask the Russians.
He is whining like a spoiled child, claiming power he does not have, and has handled the Covid-19 bioweapon horribly.
He released a bio weapon on his own people, then deviously released it on the world, had his overseas buyers purchase all the available personal protective equipment (PPE), and then sent his bioagents -- live Red Chinese workers -- all over the  world to infect the world's population.
Sadly, the majority of the Chinese people believe the CCP lie that the Rona came from the United States, and not the Wuhan Lab.
Now, they are partially right.
The liar Fauchhhhiiii used a subcontractor to illegally funnel blood money to the CCP as they would conduct internationally outlawed bioweapon research for the CDC.
Unbelievable.
Fauchhhhiiii is the ultimate "White Monkey" being used by the CCP to spread their power, influence, and false story to American's and the world.
It is immoral...but that was never Fauchhhhiiii's strong point.
And he is not alone.
The legacy corporate media, Hollywood moguls, Wall Street financial titans, the National Basketball Association (NBA) and especially LaBron James, the Democratic Party leadership, BLMANTIFACIAFBIDOJPENTAGONETC, Twitter, YouTube, the intel agencies...all pushed the false narrative.
They ALMOST took down our nation by stealing our 2020 national election, pushing critical race theory, transgenderism, and other perversions to our children, and through a thousand other knife cuts.
But the Vets and Christians held.
And the Alphabet agencies have made clear in published reports they intend to go after Vets and Christians to aid their allies in the CCP to rule the American people, and the world's people.
Along with millions of other Vets, I did volunteer civil defense work.
We blocked them.
Because they have information dominance, their nefarious plan has been defeated, but this is not evident.
Like Satan when cast out of Heaven, they still have some power and are casting about for more victims, but in the larger and supernatural world they have been defeated.

How the Vets Plan to Save the American Republic from These Threats

To get an idea of what we plan, read Eddie Gallagher's newly released book: The Man in the Arena: From Fighting ISIS to Fighting for My Freedom.
Like Eddie, like many Vets, I am an American Irish Catholic, Baptized and Confirmed, and devout in my Faith in the Blessed Trinity.
We follow Christ and that is all we need to win.
We have Invisible Weapons...Sacraments...that give us the edge.
We will save this Republic as we have saved Christendom for 2,000 years.
We are not going away.
For reference, here is the prayer of St. Patrick.

St. Patrick’s Prayer

 May you arise each day
Through a might strength
The invocation of the Trinity,
Through belief in the three-ness,
Through confession of the oneness
Of the Creator of Creation.

May you arise each day
Through the strength of heaven –
Light of sun. Radiance of moon.
Splendor of fie, Speed of lighting,
Swiftness of wind, Depth of sea,
Stability of earth, Firmness of rock.

May you arise each day
Through God’s strength to pilot you,
God’s hand to guard you,
God’s shield to protect you,
God’s host to save you,
From snare of devils,
From temptations of vices,
From all who shall wish you ill,
Afar and near,
Alone and in multitude.

Christ to shield you this day
So that there come to you
Abundance of reward
Christ with you, Christ before you,
Christ behind you, Christ in you,
Christ beneath you, Christ above you,
Christ when you lie down,
Christ when you sit
Christ when you arise,

Christ in the heart of every
Person who thinks of you.
Christ in the mouth of everyone
Who speaks of you,
Christ in every eye that sees you,

Christ in every ear that hears you.
