I just purchased three of the Payback statues from Greg Marra, America's Sculpture. I've always loved the work of Auguste Rodin and have admired Rodin's sculptures at the Rodin Museums in Philadelphia and Paris. The statue I just purchased from Mr. Marra rivals anything I've seen by Rodin.
One of the Payback statues I purchased from Mr. Marra will go to my brother-in-law, a humble, incredibly hard working, brilliant owner of an orchard in West Virginia who served 21 years in the Army Reserves with the 10th Mountain Brigade, Delta Force. His final service was in Afghanistan in 2001-2002. If you know someone like that, I can't think of a better Christmas gift to thank them for rising in the dead of the night year after year to keep us safe and free.
I gave another Payback statue to a local law enforcement guy as a Christmas present from my family for his protection. He was visibly moved when I did so and gave me a Bro hug. He said he would put it in his "love" room, which is his mancave. These guys so rarely get thanked for the incredible work they do. For example, he is educating librarians, teachers, fireman, EMTs, and others about what to do if an "active" shooter starts up nearby. This is an additional duty that he does gladly. He had several tours in Iraq and you would think that would be enough, but he keeps giving. He deserves a statue more than any $20 million a movie Hollywood puke or politician.
